Since 1995, David Wood has been helping clients realize their financial goals. He entered this business to make an impact and a difference in his client’s lives.   He seeks first to listen and understand their needs and objectives, collaborates with other specialists as needed, and together with his clients, builds a comprehensive financial plan with tactical action steps to implement for the long-term.

David’s process involves providing his clients with the information, advice and alternatives they need to make the best possible decisions about their financial future. Taken into consideration are the areas of investment and retirement planning, estate planning, insurance risk analysis, and when applicable, business succession planning. He partners with other professionals with different specialties to collaborate and help educate his clients. During this process, the client gains greater appreciation of their financial situation and the impact various options can have on the financial well-being of their family. In essence, he helps clients build “moats around their castles” by aligning them with a team of professionals with options and solutions to further expand and strengthen their financial castles.

David graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in 1988.  He played on the USC Baseball team as a pitcher in 1984-1986.  He still enjoys baseball today as he manages little league teams for his son.  He has participated in the sport of Triathlon since 2000 and has completed over 50 races, including Ironman Canada in British Columbia.  He lives in Santa Rosa with his daughter, Meghan (12) and son, Shane (10).

Professionally, David has the Chartered Life Underwriter (1997), the Chartered Financial Consultant (1999) and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (2007) designations from the American College.  He is an annual qualifier for the Million Dollar Round Table* and received the Lincoln Financial Advisors New Organization Leading Producer Award in 2009..
